Simon and Baker

In case you have forgotten, we own chickens.  I hate them.  I have always hated them.  The seem to live to leave feces around the yard.  I don’t think I would mind them as much if they weren’t alive.

Recently a friend came over and told me his husband would love chickens.  I asked him if he would like to take mine.  They’re still here so I’m guessing the answer was no.

But while we were talking, I also divulged my psychotic Simon Baker break at the Jazz game.  And he came up with a rather brilliant idea.

He suggested I call the chickens Simon Baker and then I might like them more.

So here they are.

Simon And Baker. Does it really matter which is which?

I’ll let you know how it goes.

  1. Our chickens were named after Sponge Bob characters. And while I enjoyed the idea of having chickens and getting fresh eggs every morning, I didn’t really enjoy the actual chickens waddling around my yard, messing up my flower beds, pooping everywhere, etc. One of them got quite mean and I carried around a broom with me every time I went into the backyard in case she started to charge me and I needed to defend myself! So we don’t have chickens anymore. And I’m in the process of retaking my backyard and getting it looking nice anymore. Though I still hate having to buy eggs at the grocery store. Good luck with Simon and Baker. 🙂

The backyard is disgusting. It’s amazing how such small animals can do all of that. I want to get an infinity pool so I can swim and not get migraines if chlorine is the cause of them which is my guess right now. But I don’t want it to be a bird bath infinity pool. I’ve never considered myself a violent person but if they made Call of Duty with chickens, I’d buy it.
